The new notebook 'XPS M1530' has a starting weight just under six pounds and features a one-inch profile, a senior company officials told reporters.
"The XPS M1530 will bring the XPS experience to the most popular 15.4-inch widescreen market segment," Director for Marketing, Dell India, Girish Mehta said.
The latest notebook has other features such as webcam and fingerprint reader and design accents like touch-sensitive multi-media
buttons, the company said.
Standard features include slot-load optical drive. It has an optional 'blu-ray disc drive' and includes noise cancellation earbuds and travel remote that stores away in the ExpressCard card slot, it was stated.
The company also announced the launch of XPS 420, a multimedia desktop PC that features the option of Adobe Elements Studio software.
Priced from Rs 65,000, the XPS 420 is powered by multi-core Intel processors.
