From being seen as focused on large corporates, with its desktop and notebook products, Dell India now wants to reach out to all segments, saying it will give an aggressive push to win customers in consumer, government and education space.

To drive business in the country, the company is putting in greater focus on selling its enterprise products -- servers, storage and services in this country.

"In the next 30-60 days, you will see very aggressive push" vis-a-vis consumer, government and education sectors, said Rajan Anandan, vice-president and general manager for Dell India.

Anandan noted that Dell was currently seen as a desktop and notebook company focused on large corporates. In fact, it is number one in large corporates (companies with over 1000 employees) with 45 per cent marketshare

in India.

By the end of the current financial year, which is January for Dell, the company wants to be in all segments in India. "In two years, we want to build leadership in India in every segment we compete in", he said. Anandan said Dell India, which is a Rs 1,800 crore (Rs 18 billion) business (current annual run rate), would put renewed focus on selling enterprise products.

He said that Dell was number one sever unit shipments in the US and number two worldwide. He said enterprise products were over 20 per cent of its revenue mix in India but enterprise revenues were growing at over 80 per cent.
