Computer giant Dell on Monday announced setting up of a new customer contact centre at Gurgaon in Haryana.
"It will be the fourth contact centre of Dell in India and will employ 700-1,000 people by the end of 2006 when the total number of employees of Dell will grow to 10,000 in India," Dell CEO Kevin Rollins said in New Delhi.
The company also announced plans to double the size of its India-based product development team to 600 during the next two years.
Dell also said that it will set up a manufacturing facility in India.
