"The projects worth or over Rs 10 crore (Rs 100 million) will be available on the website of the Delhi government soon," Principal Secretary (PWD) K S Mehra told PTI.
Giving details of the e-system, he said the important components of each project like the details of the work, time schedule for completion, graphic design and payment to contractors besides project cost would be accessible at the click of the mouse.
Mehra said the step was the part of the good administration system and "would help expedite the completion of the projects, keeping in mind the Commonwealth Games to be held four years later in the capital."
"Besides, it would not only ensure transparency in the system but also keep the concerned officials on their toes. Knowing that their job is under constant scrutiny there would be no compromise on performance and quality. This would ensure timely completion of the projects," said Mehra.
"The senior officials would be able to supervise the progress of the project from the office itself, not visiting physically to the construction site, thus saving their time," said the official.
In case of any hurdle during the exceution of the project, it will immediately come to the notice of the senior officials who, then would be able to pitch in and take further action, he added.
