"In line with our overseas expansion, we plan to set up an integrated plant, which will manufacture cosmetics, food products and other ayurvedic items," a company official said.
The plant, which is expected to go onstream by the end of next year, would come up in the Ras Al-khaimal area, he added.
Dabur already has two plants in UAE - at Sharjah and Jebel Ali - from where it caters to the Middle East market. The expansion would be funded through internal accruals and debt, the official said.
On other expansion plans in the overseas market, the official said Dabur was evaluating options at the moment.
"For the immediate future we are concentrating on our Middle East expansion," he said, adding other international expansions would be taken up later.
