Corporation Bank on Thursday announced that it has joined Cashnet, the country's largest shared ATM network.

With this the bank's 590 ATMs were linked to Cashnet, which has over 1,600 ATMs on its network.

Corporation Bank chairman and managing director K Cherian Varghese told reporters in Bangalore that apart from its existing ATMs, the bank would add 410 more, taking the total number of its ATM network to 1,000 by June this year.

He said with the tie-up, 2200 ATMs were connected to Cashnet across the country.

Card holders of the consortium banks on the Cashnet could now have easy access at all Corporation Bank ATMs, he said.

Corporation Bank was the first public sector bank to join the Cashnet.

Euronet, its officials said, operates the largest independent Pan-European ATM network.
