R Seshasayee new CII president

Managing director of Ashok Leyland R Seshasayee was elected CII president on Wednesday. Sunil Bharti Mittal of Bharti Telecom became the vice president.

Seshasayee, who has been a member of the CII National Council for 20 years, succeeds Y C Deveshawar of ITC. He was the president of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.

Seshasayee and Mittal were declared elected at the annual session of the industry chamber.
