Ramesh S Damani : Hello every one thanks for joining. lets start. You are right I have not seen the stock fundas yet

sanujkadavl : sir, what's your call on encore software. i think you have some holdings in encore. but nowadays we are not hearing any news on simputer. do you think encore story would emerge in future, or expecting anything special from the company, would you recommend encore for patient and value investors

Ramesh S Damani : same mgmt. I am bullish on Arvind prod due to textile exports

meetamangal : Sir, your views on textiles. The Quota system is about to abolish, but saw an article, that India is not prepared to take the benefit and china will upbeat India. If it is so, then shud we retain Century Textiles and Raymond.
Ramesh S Damani : china will win, but enough is left for India. Also strong yuan would hurt Chinese exports

chints : sir what's ur sense about markets from here? i sold my portfolio today of jl morrison godfrey phillip matsushita lakhanpal and ntpc. is that good idea from your point of view?

ChennaiInvestor : Hello sir, Thank a lot for all your picks, God may bless your family! Can we expect a correction now sir, as the market reached all time high? Any ideas at this point
Ramesh S Damani : My sense is remain invested

Ramesh S Damani : look at the consolidated numbers

chengise : ramesh - BALMER LAWRIE - seems results could be quite interesting, what dividend are you expecting
Ramesh S Damani : Rs 5 plus

Sharad B : Sir Today on CNBC one of the expert was suggesting to exit from big shares like HDFC HERO HINDALCO and enter in to MID-CAP...but as per my exp. actually it should be the other way round. Sir Your Opinion?
Ramesh S Damani : i agree. However, i prefer to buy good cos and not worry if they are large caps or small caps

AnandBBhatt : Sir,I have not been following Nuclues software. Can one make a fresh investment at the current price? Thanks.
Ramesh S Damani : The outlook is promising or this co. it reminds me of Geometric a few years back.

chengise : Ramesh- MOUNT Shivalik - will their tie up with Cobra Beer make any difference
Ramesh S Damani : it should

Tangox : Mr Damani do u think any of ur picks still have some steam left. Can one get into Lawrie, Arvind prod, Geometric, Sundaram finance, etc even now? or shud one hold on for a correction n then enter?
Ramesh S Damani : my sense is that you should remain invested. You have to pick where you are comfortable

Sharad B : : With today's movements do you think that we the small investors, having made investments at very low level, can start the process of booking at least 20-30% profit? but sir this time index at same level 6250 & I do not feel like asking you the same Question again. though I would certainly like to know your advise for a small investor like us. When should (at what level ) we should start our EXIT process?
Ramesh S Damani : if we are in a bull market, as it seems we are, it has still a way to go

Michelle1 : is there anything with swaraj engines, which is in distribution, in spite of good fundamentals?
Ramesh S Damani : nothing that i know of

Sharad B : , Sir, I am having exposure in 2 real nice stocks, which has given me nice and steady return over the years. i.e. HDFC &
HDFC Bank at current valuation I would like to know ur take on these two shares?
Ramesh S Damani : i would hold on

makhijasuresh : sir ji plzz reply sir what r u views on ind swift lab. u remember that i ask u abt this company 7 to 8 months before that what to do with tis company as they r going in contract manufacturing and contract research in a big was and they have lots of other plans like USFDA approved plants and special focus on r&d. then u said u have to look for manaegment but as u said that develop u r own conviction i bought thuis share at@ 45 rs thanx for u r suggestions now plzz u tell me whether to book profit in this share or to still hold this thanx
Ramesh S Damani : unfortunately i have not followed it. Good luck on your pick

rajeshh : Pl give yr comments on Tata Investment, is it comparable stocks like Sundaram Finance, UB holding, Godrej. What is yr view on it.
Ramesh S Damani : it is safe but has no operating business

Tangox : What are the prospects for Sundaram Finance. Even in this active bull market it hardly seems to have shifted. do u still have faith in this one. Is it gonna be like a liquor share which sleeps for ages but then really moves when it gets up?
Ramesh S Damani : i remain bullish.

bniralay : Damaniji - Read the book The Millionaire Code, it's good! Speaking of which your opinion on Kalyani Brakes, Bajaj Tempo and Igarishi Motors - Your Ardent fan (One who considers you as the Mumbai's Warren Buffet)
Ramesh S Damani : i will. Kalyani and CJ look good. I own them. Bajaj should be doing well. Warren Buffett has no comparison.

vikas3 : Balmer Lawrie : It is almost at its 52 high when u are recommending it. Is it u got late in picking up or real story will unfold now
Ramesh S Damani : you figure that one out

Ashwin : Hello Ramesh! Is the UB City Project on schedule? Isn't the company UB Holdings still containing deep value due to good growth potential of Aventis, holding in liquor and breweries and the annual Rs. 20 cr. expected as rentals?
Ramesh S Damani : it is they are unlocking value

sentout : SIR PLEASE - IS UB Different from UBH - I found only UBH @ 75+ ....
Ramesh S Damani : yes. ub beer makes beer, ub holding has different interest

bniralay : Strategy: One strategy would be to go for value picks in the current scenario. Your one value pick for the next 1 year besides Godrej Industries and VSNL ?
Ramesh S Damani : maybe balmer lawrie

jk : Sir, can you tell me if nahar exports is a good buy at the present levels? And, in the banking sector is OBC a good buy?
Ramesh S Damani : Don't follow it

Ramesh S Damani : booking profits in linc pen

sanujkadavl : sir ,richard branson is making lots of news. he is keen on Indian aviation and looks investment in indian airliner, do you think branson would consider kingfisher as good choice. mallya would also consider this. becoz he is not liking a threat from branson. mallya-branson venture will be interesting, they might rule the indian skies. branson is very serious on business. who knows about the future
Ramesh S Damani : this is a great idea. I did not think about it. There would be synergies.

Ramesh S Damani : be careful with this co
