Caparo plans auto parts plant in Rajasthan

Lord Swraj Paul's Caparo group has planned to set up a Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion) automobile parts manufacturing plant at Bhiwadi industrial area in Alwar district of Rajasthan.

The executive director of the Caparo group, Viraj Naidu, had an elaborate discussion about the project called 'Caparo-Maruti' with the chief managing director of Rajasthan Industrial Development Corporation, Rakesh Hooja, an official release said on Wednesday.

Naidu told Hooja that the project would require about 11 acres of land. In the initial stage Rs 105 crore (Rs 1.05 billion) would be spent for setting up the giant project, the release said.
