Sun Pharma, Cipla get tentative nod for cancer drug

Sun Pharma Ltd has received tentative approval for cancer drug Ondansetron from US Food and Drug Administration.

The approval is for 2ml strength in injection form, according to information on the USFDA website.

Ondansetron is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, anesthesia and surgery.

The  USFDA has also given tentative approval to Cipla Ltd for the anti-HIV drug Nevirapine in the tablet form, having a strength of 200 mg.
