BSNL will match Reliance's WLL rates

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) would match Reliance Infocomm's proposed tariffs for its limited mobility services, BSNL chairman and managing director Prithipal Singh said on Saturday.

He said, "BSNL is geared to match the tariffs offered by Reliance Infocomm."

Singh was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the 'First International Conference on Communications Convergence, the multi-billion Indian opportunity", organised by the Indian Merchants' Chamber here.

Reliance Infocomm is scheduled to launch wireless in local loop (WLL) services all over the country on December 28.

The company proposes to offer mobile services for an upfront payment of Rs 14,400 for three years.
