April 13, 2006 05:58 IST
A three-day property show, Indian Property Mart & The Dream Home Show, will begin in Hyderabad from April 21 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre.

Addressing a press conference in this regard on Wednesday, Mani V, managing director of Royal Expositions Private Limited, the organisers of the event, said, "The demand for properties is at its high due to the boom in the economy and the easing of housing loan norms. The event would provide an opportunity for the participants to share this large successful market." Around 120 companies are expected to participate in the event.

Mani said the company was planning to organise three more such events by the end of 2006.

"There is a flurry of activity in the tourism sector with 4.5 million inbound and 7.5 million outbound tourists estimated for 2006. To tap this vast potential, we are organising an 'International Tourism Expo 2006' in association with the state tourism ministry from October 26-29 at the same venue," he said.

The company was expecting around 20 countries from Europe, Middle East and Far East for this event. Five countries - Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Thailand - had already confirmed their participation, Mani added.

The date and venue of the other two exhibitions, a 'Children's Expo' and a 'Motor Show', would be announced later. The Children's Expo will have events for around 150 students from a shortlisted 30-40 schools besides showcasing encyclopedias, computers and other gadgets.
