Blue Star to sell pie in Yokogawa JV

Indian refrigerator maker Blue Star Ltd plans to consider selling its holding in a joint venture to its partner Japan's Yokogawa Electric Corporation, the Bombay Stock Exchange said on Friday.

The company has called a board meeting on March 27 to decide on selling its 27.84 per cent holding in Yokogawa Blue Star Ltd,

which makes process control instrumentation systems.

Japan's Yokogawa owns 40 per cent in the venture, according to the BSE Web site www.bseindia.com.

Shares in Blue Star were up 1.76 per cent at Rs 81, while Yokogawa Blue Star firmed 13.2 per cent to Rs 42 in the afternoon, while the main index was flat.
