Bharti buys Max India 's VSAT unit

Bharti Tele Ventures Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that Bharti Infotel Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company has signed an agreement with Max India to acquire 100 per cent equity stake in Comsat Max, a leading provider of VSAT and broadband services in India, for a total consideration of Rs 350 million (approximately).

BIL is acquiring 100 per cent of C Max Infocom from Max India, which holds 100 stake in Comsat Max.
The agreement includes all assets and liabilities of the businesses, including the hubs at Delhi and Mumbai and a Data Centre at Delhi.

These hubs at Delhi and Mumbai will complement Bharti's existing hub at Bangalore, strengthening Bhartis' capabilities to deploy VSAT services across the country.
