Bharti offers mobile prepaid coupons at Rs 50

Bharti Televentures on Friday slashed the cost of its prepaid coupons for cellphone to Rs 50 and tied-up with Motorola and Samsung to offer mobile phone handsets with its airtime at low rates.

Pre-paid recharge coupons of Airtel, Bharti's cellular phone brand, will now be available for Rs 50 against Rs 300 minimum charge of recharging the pre-paid phone currently, Bharti Televentures president (mobility) Manoj Kohli told reporters in New Delhi.

Airtel customers can also recharge while roaming in any of its 15 networks across the country, he said.

The company has also tied-up with South Korea's Samsung Electronics and Motorola for supplying mobile phone handsets with Airtel connections.

A Samsung cellphone with Airtel connection will come for Rs 3,999 which includes a free airtime of Rs 2,000. Similarly, a Motorola phone would be available for Rs 3,299 with a free airtime of Rs 1,800.

Kohli said Airtel recharge coupons will now be available for Rs 75, Rs 120 and Rs 160 to suit everybody's needs and pockets.
