Networked digital lifestyle devices provider BenQ on Wednesday said it would expand its Indian operations by creating a new division -- Digital Media -- which will focus on growing its marketshare in corporate and government segments.
A new business head has been appointed for this initiative and Digital Media portfolio includes digital projectors, LCD panels, plasma displays and joy books (laptops), a company statement said in Bangalore.
While the company will launch new product categories such as LCD TVs (15" and 20") this month and joy books in January, it will also increase its product range for digital projectors from two to a portfolio of six.
In a move to increase BenQ's penetration into the north Indian markets, the company has appointed Savi Vision as the distributor for its range of projectors, it said.
