BayPackets Technologies, an Indian telecom software start-up, on Wednesday said that it will invest $30 million in its local operations over the next three years.
The company also said that its engineering headcount in the Noida centre would rise to 225 in the next 12 months.
"We will invest between $25-30 million in our Indian operations over the next three years in our Noida development centre besides raising the headcount there by three times from the current 75 professionals," Ken Epps, President and CEO, BayPackets, told newspersons in New Delhi.
The expansion is aimed at servicing the Asia-Pacific market in a bigger way with better thrust, he said.
The company also announced its major deals from the global telecom carriers with the deal size ranging from $500,000 to $3million.
Major customer wins include Deutsche Telecom of Germany, Verizon Avenue, Global Crossing and Touch America and others in North America and Europe. The deal size ranges between $500,000 to $3 million, Epps said.
The company has invested nearly $10 million in product development at Noida and to meet its growing customer needs, BayPackets plans to triple its investment level over the next three years and has also drawn up aggressive plans to more than triple its headcount in Noida centre over the next 12 months from the current 75, he said.
He said that in India, the company is talking to Indian telecom service providers for its products. It is already present in Malaysia and Japan in Asia.
