The compact dimensions, fuel efficiency and punchy diesel engine along with the spacious cabin makes the WR-V a perfect car those who want the practicality of a crossover and the freedom of a hatchback.

The Honda WR-V is a combination of a compact SUV, compact sedan and premium hatchback.

It offers the convenience of a hatchback, the space of a sedan and has the practicality of a compact SUV.

It is one car to suit many of your needs.

Even though the WR-V is based on a Jazz, Honda has done a great job of giving it proper crossover styling elements with the black cladding, roof rails and the high ground clearance.

Thanks to the funky styling elements, the WR-V has a presence of its own.

The stunning alloy wheel design and the dignified grille gives the WR-V a great stance.

The LED daytime running lights not only look cool but are also very effective.

From outside you really can't believe how much space this compact crossover packs inside.

It can easily carry five people in comfort.

The massive boot can hold all their luggage and is perfect for a weekend getaway.

The compact dimensions of the WR-V along with the parking camera makes parking and manoeuvring in traffic a breeze.

The suspension is tuned to offer a pleasant ride quality. However, on bad roads, the ride quality does suffer.

Coming to the features, here also Honda has given the WR-V all the bells and whistles in the form of a sunroof, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start and a reverse camera, to name a few.

Quality of materials is still good however could have been better considering the premium which Honda charges.

Despite all the work Honda has put into this crossover, it still misses out on certain essential features such as an automatic transmission and  Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The rear passengers not only miss out on separate AC vents but also don't get adjustable headrests and an armrest.

The diesel engine though extremely fuel-efficient has a lot of audible diesel clatter inside the cabin.

We got an average fuel efficiency of 16.5 km/l in the city with a maximum fuel efficiency of 21 km/l on the highway.

The WR-V has one of the most fuel-efficient diesel engines in its segment.

It also has a range of over 650 kms on a single tank of fuel which makes long journeys an easy affair.

The engine has a slight amount of turbo lag. Barring that, the torquey engine has punchy performance.

The gearbox offers smooth shifts and the clutch is on the lighter side which makes it even more practical for daily commuting.

The engine is quite noisy though, and a lot of the engine clatter filters inside the cabin.

The Honda WR-V is also well loaded in terms of safety equipment and comes with dual airbags with ABS and EBD as standard.

Couple that with the compact dimensions and the WR-V is perfect for both highway and city driving.

The vehicle also offers good handling. The body control is very nice and the steering offers good feel out on the highways.

Priced from Rs 9.16 - 12.28 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), the Honda WR-V offers a lot of value for what it is.

It is basically three cars in one and then some.

The compact dimensions, fuel efficiency and punchy diesel engine along with the spacious cabin makes the WR-V a perfect car those who want the practicality of a crossover and the freedom of a hatchback.
