A 10-member Assocham delegation, led by its President R K Somany, will accompany Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to China on June 22.
The delegation, aimed at forming partnerships with Chinese counterparts, would explore possibilities for establishing contacts with the commodity-based organisations to facilitate visits of the delegation subsequently, an Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India release said in New Delhi.
The chamber would sponsor three delegations to China on telecommunication and IT, particularly to study the Chinese model of business process outsourcing, importers and exporters delegation and textile and pharma.
Other members of the delegation include Alternate President of Assocham M K Sanghi, Secretary General Assocham Jayant Bhuyan, Chairman Rasoi Group Raghu Mody, Chairman Srei International Finance Hari Prasad Kanoria and CMD Ginni Filaments Rajaram Jaipuria.
An Assocham delegation had visited China last year and signed MoUs with its counterpart China Council for Promotion of International Trade and other organisations.
