Finland-based F-Secure Corporation has entered into an agreement with Reliance Communication Ventures Ltd to provide data security services. The deal will enable Reliance Communications to offer secured Internet services.
"We view India as one of the fastest growing markets for Internet and data connectivity in the next one decade. The country is also one of the fastest growing telecom markets and we are looking at meeting the nation's requirements," said Risto Siilasmaa, president and CEO, F-Secure on Thursday.
Reliance Communications will install F-Secure's Service Platform for consumers, a solution that allows Internet Service Providers to offer their residential and small office customers a complete security solution, he said.
F-Secure's Service Platform is available in two packages - Reliance PC Protect Basic and Family Packs - and these include a combination of anti-virus, spyware, firewall, parental control and spam control systems.
Reliance Communications president, broadband business said that the dependence on computer is at an all-time high and there is "the need of a fail-proof security solution that guarantees the customer peace of mind".
On RCoVL's Internet initiatives, the company is planning to expand its presence to over 200 cities from the present 40 cities by the end of the year. The company has over 200,000 subscribers and presence in 40,000 cities and towns in the country, he added.
