Anand Mahindra is Business India's businessman of the year

Anand Mahindra, vice-chairman and managing director of Mahindra & Mahindra, has been selected for Business India's Businessman of the Year 2007 award.

M&M is a part of the diversified Rs 24,000-crore (Rs 240 billion) Mahindra group which is chaired by Keshub Mahindra, who received the award in 1989.

Mahindra was selected for the award by an eminent jury chaired by Baba Kalyani, chairman
and managing director, Bharat Forge.

Other jury members included Chanda Kochhar, Joint Managing Director & CFO, ICICI Bank, Debu Bhattacharya, Managing Director, Hindalco, Adil Zainulbhai, Managing Director, McKinsey & Company India, Akhil Gupta, senior managing director & chairman, Blackstone India, Jignesh Shah, chairman & CEO, Financial Technologies, and Hemant Luthra, president, Systech.
