Alembic to acquire 'Yutopar' from Dutch firm

Alembic Ltd would be acquiring brand and trademark rights for 'Yutopar' drug from Dutch pharma entity Solvay Pharmaceuticals BV for an undisclosed amount, subject to regulatory approvals.

Yutopar, an obstetrics drug, involved a turnover of Rs 1.44 crore (Rs 14.4 million) in the domestic market in 2001-02, Alembic Ltd informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.

The Vadodara-based company has already approached the Reserve Bank of India to seek approval for the acquisition, it added.
