March 11, 2008 19:08 IST
Targeting Indians living in the US, Bharti Airtel on Tuesday launched an upgraded version of its CallHome services which will enable users to buy talktime for making calls using Indian credit cards.

The CallHome is a service which helps users make calls from the US to India.

The launch of the enhanced version marks an important step by Airtel to further strengthen its focus on the 2.5 million NRIs in the US, Airtel said.

"With the launch of the enhanced version and the enablement of payment through Indian credit cards, we are aiming to
revolutionise the customer calling experience," Bharti Airtel President Enterprise Services David Nishball said.

Besides the firm plans to extend its service in two more countries by Q1 of 2008-09, he added.

The CallHome services would have a Hotline service, which would enable users to configure up to 10 of his most frequently dialled numbers with a single-key access dial. It would also introduce value added services such as astrology, cricket and others soon.

Airtel CallHome service was first launched in the US in December 2006.
