The United Kingdom based Aircom International Ltd has bought out the 49.5 per cent equity shares of erstwhile HCL Perot Systems from their joint venture -- Aircom HPS Wireless Services.

The new company will now be a wholly owned subsidiary of Aircom International UK and will be henceforth known as Aircom International (India) Private Ltd, an Aircom press release said in New Delhi on Monday.

"We are in the finalisation of the strategy document with the India team and will announce our detailed strategy for the India and Saarc market by the end of this month," Stephen Mockfoed, group chairman and MD, Aircom International, said.

Aircom International (India) will be an end-to-end wireless solutions company offering a full blend of products, consulting, training and support services for which they have procured certificates of incorporation from the Registrar of Companies and would be fully operational within the first quarter of 2004, he said.

"With the emergence of Aircom India, we plan to continue to penetrate the Indian and Saarc telecom market with more strength and re-emphasise our expertise and leadership in wireless business, Mockford said.
