Financial constraints will no longer be a problem for those who wish to board a Singapore Airlines flight.

The airline, in collaboration with Citibank, has launched a scheme for the customers in India and the offer has been rolled out first in Chandigarh.

Citibank credit card customers will now be able to pay back fares in equal monthly instalments over a period of three, six, and twelve months.

As part of this joint initiative between Singapore Airlines and Citibank, customers will be able to book tickets through International Air Transport Association agents, authorised by Singapore Airlines.

It allows Chandigarh-based passengers to book and fly to any of the SIA-operated destinations across the world from any city in India where the airline operates. The air carrier operates 41 weekly flights from across the globe to seven destinations in India.

According to the travel agents in Chandigarh, this offer from Singapore Airlines is a fallout of competition among the new players.

According to the current scheme, the monthly instalment over 12 months for a Delhi-Singapore-Delhi ticket works out to be just Rs 2,305.

Likewise, those on Delhi-Sydney-Delhi and Delhi-San Francisco-Delhi routes are Rs 4,185 and Rs 4,740, respectively.
