The Ahmedabad-Kuala Lumpur service would operate thrice a week, taking the total number of its flights to 26, MAS regional manager (South Asia) Syed Abdillah Aziz said in New Delhi.
While three flights would be added from Mumbai under the 'open sky' policy, taking the total services from the western metropolis to seven a week, it would add one additional flight each from Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The airline at present operates a total of 18 flights a week; from Delhi (four), Mumbai (four), Bangalore (two), Hyderabad (one) and Chennai (seven).
With the five additional flights, its total seats offered from India would increase from 5456 to 7294 per week. Aziz added that the Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad sectors were witnessing an average growth rate of 12 per cent per annum.
