The Bombay High Court on Monday restrained the pilots' union of Jet Airways from any strike.
Around 400 pilots of Jet Airways have gone on mass sick leave protesting the sacking of two of their colleagues.
Jet Airways on Tuesday moved the High Court saying that under the Industrial Disputes Act going on strike while conciliation proceedings are underway was prohibited.
Jet's lawyer senior counsel Harish Salve argued that going on mass sick leave was tantamount to going on strike.
Since no lawyer from the union's side was present, a divison bench of Chief Justice Swantanter Kumar and A M Khanwilkar issued them a notice seeking reply within two weeks.
