Sports goods maker Adidas on Wednesday launched its top-of-the-line tennis shoes 'Barricade-III'.

The shoe was unveiled by Adidas brand ambassador and tennis star Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand at a function in Chennai.

"The shoe provides exceptional stability because of its unique glove like fit and is an optimal blend of durability, cushion, support and grip," said Andreas Gellner, managing director, Adidas India.

Srichaphan, world number 27, said he was wearing the shoes at the ongoing Chennai Open Tournament and added that he was comfortable with the product.

The launch of the latest performance products would ensure that players have access to the best technology that would help optimise their performance and prove that impossible is nothing," Srichaphan said, ('Impossible is nothing' is Adidas's brand slogan).

Gellner said Adidas was bullish on India, which was the reason behind making the country a separate business centre. "India is on the top of our priority list," he said.

However, there are no plans to start manufacturing sports shoes in India, he said.
