ADAG jumps on to card bandwagon with Citibank

The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group has tied up with Citibank to launch its first credit card - Reliance Credit Card. To be launched Monday, the card will be initially available in Mumbai and Delhi only.

The card is being launched as a co-branded card with Citibank in association with Visa International. ADAG has plans to take its credit cards nationwide.

Reliance credit cards will be free for life and will provide points as part of a unique loyalty programme. One can redeem points so earned across Reliance - ADAG products and services, including recharge of prepaid connections, payment of mobile phone bills, electricity bills, life and general insurance premiums as well as at Adlabs Multiplexes.

These cards will also offer complimentary vouchers on joining, for usage at Reliance World outlets and Adlabs Multiplexes, cash advance facility, free utility bill payment facilities, hospital allowance, free towing of vehicles, and zero fuel surcharge at Indian Oil petrol pumps.

Holders of Reliance credit cards can receive up to 5 add-on cards, free email statements, free alerts and will be able to transfer money from one Visa card to another using Citibank Online services.

"The launch of Reliance credit card marks another milestone in Citibank's continuing endeavour to offer unique value proposition to customers by developing products and solutions to best address their needs," said T R Ramachandran, business head, credit cards, Citibank.
