Accenture opens training institute

Accenture, one of the leaders in global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, on Wednesday launched a training academy, in collaboration with Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur.

The academy is dedicated to the human capital management needs of the growing IT and BPO industries.

Accenture Delivery Centre India Head Chet Kamat said that according to Nasscom projection the number of work force in the IT and BPO industry which is presently over eight lakh was expected to increase by three times by 2009.

To
meet the challenge and sustain the growth in the industry there is a need to have better equipped and professionally sound human resources personnel who also play a major role in building and harnessing the talent pool in the industry.

He said the academy was also dedicated to leverage the talent pool of human resources personnel to serve the needs of the BPO industry.

He said that the academy offers a 24-month programme for fresh graduates who have joined as Accenture as trainees in the HR department.
