ABN Amro may hike interest rates by 25-40 basis points by middle of 2006 and 50-70 basis points by the end of the year.
This is in view of tightening global liquidity, high
credit growth and inflationary expectations, Abheek Barua, chief economist, said on the sidelines of a panel discussion organised by Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mumbai on Thursday.
