The Dubai-based Emirates Airlines on Tuesday announced 'companion offer', a new scheme which would provide a complimentary return ticket in the economy class for a companion, for all its passengers in the Chennai-Dubai route. Passengers booking an Emirates economy class return ticket would receive a complimentary return ticket in the same class for a companion on the same route, a press release said.
Travellers could avail an economy class return ticket for Rs 27,000 from Chennai to Dubai valid till June 25, 2009, it said.
"At Emirates, we are always on the lookout for opportunities to enhance the benefit of our customers and companion offer is one such initiative. We always receive an overwhelming response for our offers and this encourages us to introduce more such initiatives," Emirates vice-president (India and Nepal), Orhan Abbas said.
"Given the increase in demand for international travel and the forthcoming summer holiday season, we expect Chennai-based travellers to avail of our companion offer and make it a great success," Emirates sales manager (Tamil Nadu) Sudhir Sukumaran said.
Emirates operates 163 flights per week in the India-Dubai route, it added.
