More funds for Corporate Affairs ministry

Government has increased the budgetary allocation for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs by 10 per cent to Rs 203 crore.

In the current fiscal, the allocation is Rs 185 crore. The government also increased the non-planned expenditure of the ministry to Rs 170 crore, a 23 per cent hike. Earlier, Rs 138 crore were reserved under this category.

However, the planned expenditure has been reduced to Rs 33 crore from the previous Rs 47 crore. The Ministry is expected to table the new company law in the ongoing session of Parliament.
