Tata Consultancy Services [Get Quote], the country's largest software services exporter, on Monday said it has signed a multi-year deal with US automobile manufacturer Chrysler LLC to provide IT services.
TCS has signed a new multi-year deal with Chrysler LLC to deliver IT application and maintenance support services to the company, the firm said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, the financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
In February, TCS had signed a similar deal with Chrysler LLC under which the company was to provide a comprehensive portfolio of IT services.
"Our ability to deliver certainty of results across the entire spectrum of IT services in Chrysler's operations will bring greater efficiencies to their business allowing them to invest more in advance technology and change-the-business initiatives," TCS Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer N Chandrasekaran said.
The automotive industry is a key focus market for TCS manufacturing vertical, which accounted for 15.1 per cent of company's global revenues worth of $ 4.3 billion in financial year 2007.
TCS provides services to several automobile companies in North America, Europe and Japan. Shares of TCS closed at Rs 900.10, up 3.44 per cent, on the BSE.
