Oracle Communications, an arm of global database software major Oracle today launched a pre-integrated business application platform specifically designed for the telecom industry.
Oracle's Service Oriented Architecture is a business integration solution which enables telecom operators and other players like internet service providers, DTH to launch value added services in minimum time frame and with reduced costs.
"Telecom and other service providers spends hefty amount on buying different applications from different players, but by using Oracle's pre-integrated business application platform, the companies can reduce their cost and increase their efficiency," Oracle's Regional Vice-President Asia Pacific Sandeep Sharma told reporters in New Delhi.
The pre-built integrations would enable the service providers to launch the new services quickly and would also help them in discovering new revenue streams through enhanced data analysis, the company said in a statement.
Oracle is also working with the leaders in the systems integrator community to co-develop best practise industry processes and model, he added.
