Hutch on Friday announced a 50 per cent cut in the minimum monthly recharge required for a prepaid customer, bringing down the affordability barrier further to just Rs 99. Hutch prepaid customers can now keep talking for a month at a cost of just Rs 99 instead of the earlier minimum recharge of Rs 199. Hutch is the first mobile service provider to offer a month's validity at this price.
"Hutch was the first mobile operator to introduce the concept of micro recharges for as low as Rs 10 way back in 2005. This is another big step in making a Hutch connection very affordable so that many more people can go mobile," Hutch operations director Sanjoy Mukerji said in a press release.
The new recharge is effective from June 16.
