She was speaking after laying the foundation stone of Vedams Software Solutions India Pvt. limited, a 100-percent subsidiary of Vedams Inc. San Jose, for its state-of- the-art technology facility in Hitech City, Hyderabad.

She said that the state had set a growth target of 70 percent for IT sector in 2006 compared to last year's 64 percent. "The government is committed to provide facilities to all the people who are interested in setting up companies in Hyderabad. Ms Subha Rajana, President and CEO, Vedams Inc, said that the company has  embarked on a major expansion with an estimated investment of two million US dollars over the next 10 to 12 months. As part of the plans, the company is setting up the facility to demonstrate Vedams long-term commitment to continue moving its services and resources closer to its customers. The company has selected the city as the next major offshore development centre. 

Vedams in collaboration with Xyratex, a UK-based leading provider of Networking products, enterprise class data storage subsystems and disk drive test solutions,  jointly develop a range of new technology platforms, she added.
