Suzuki launches two bikes

January 13, 2006 14:32 IST
Suzuki Motorcycle India announced the launch of two new bikes for the domestic market – 'Heat' for excessive bike users and 'Zeus' targeted at college students and executives.

Suzuki is re-entering the bike segment in India after it severed ties with TVS Motor Company in 1999-2000.

The company has already invested Rs 200 crore (rs 2 billion) for its manufacturing facility at Gurgaon, and plans to produce and sell one lakh units in 2006.

Suzuki Motor Corporation holds 74 per cent stake in Suzuki Motorcycle India.

While 'Heat' would be priced at Rs 37,893 (ex-showroom Delhi), Zeus would be very competitively priced, company officials said.
