The government on Thursday said decision with regard to divestment in some of the public sector companies has been taken and would be announced at an appropriate time.

"The government took some decisions... the usual practice is that whatever decisions are there, are conveyed to the ministries concerned," Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters after a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

He, however, refused to elaborate and said, "these are price sensitive information. They will be processed in the normal course."
