Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on Saturday refused to join the issue over the IIM fee controversy, saying the matter was being pursued in a "proper manner".

"The issue is being dealt by the Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi. There are those who say it is wrong (fee cut), some of them said it is illegal and I think the courts have also given their own opinion," Advani told reporters when asked whether there was a "political agenda" behind the move by the government over the IIM fee cuts.

"The matter is being pursued in a proper manner," he said.
