Daksh eServices opens centre in Philippines

Daksh eServices, an independent business process outsourcing company, on Wednesday announced the launch of its overseas facility in Philippines to offer customer service, technical support and back office transaction processing services.

The Manila based centre is expected to employ 1,000 people in the next 12 months, taking Daksh's total strength to 10,000 by 2005, a Daksh release said.
Daksh became the first independent business process outsourcing company to start operations in Philippines and it aims to be one of the largest BPO companies in the Asia Pacific region.
Daksh Philippines management team is headed by Jose Ma Gajitos, CEO, Daksh eServices.
As one of the global leaders in the offshore outsourcing business, Daksh is ideally placed to leverage Philippines' rich pool of skilled workers and managerial talent to emerge as the largest BPO company from South East Asia, Gajitos said.
There is a fundamental transformation of the BPO business. The next generation of BPO leaders will come from Asia Pacific region -- unlike earlier time when this was more of a US centric phenomenon, Sanjeev Aggarwal, CEO, Daksh eServices said adding, "Daksh Philippines would become a key node in our global service delivery network".
Philippines boasts of 5 million skilled workers, 3,80,000 graduates annually with low attrition rates.
