Maharashtra FDA clears Limca, Thumps Up from Pune

The Food and Drug Administration has cleared samples of Limca and Thumps Up from Pune as they did not find any detectable amount of pesticide residues in them.

However, results of samples of soft drinks from other centres would be made available within four to five days, FDA commissioner Uttam Khobragade told reporters in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, area manager of Coca-Cola M V Natarajan in Pune said he had received information that FDA has cleared samples of Thums Up and Limca, which they had siezed for testing purpose.

However, he said he was yet to receive official communication in this regard.
