Govt to call for fesh bids for SCI stake

The government on Tuesday decided to call fresh bids for selling its stake in Shipping Corporation of India, while taking Air-India and Indian Airlines off the divestment list.

The Cabinet Committee on Divestment, chaired by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, decided to call fresh bids for selling its 51 per cent stake in SCI, retaining the existing advisors.
