A-I to start 3 new India-Frankfurt flights from Dec

As part of Air-India's expansion plans, three new flights will be introduced between Delhi, Mumbai and Frankfurt from December this year as the Indian national carrier looks at possibility of suitable arrangements with Air Canada for providing convenient connectivity between India and Canada.

This was stated by civil aviation minister Shahnawz Hussain, who is leading a high level delegation to Canada, during a meeting with Canadian transport minister David M Collenette in Ottawa on Wednesday.

The new flights will start operations from December 8, Hussain said.

Describing this as a positive development, Collenette said the two airlines should discuss these issues within the framework of the bilateral air service agreement.

The two ministers held wide-ranging discussions on civil aviation issues of mutual interest in a very cordial atmosphere. Indian high commissioner in Canada Shashi Tripathi was also present besides other Indian and Canadian officials, a press release from Air-India said.
