Govt approves IA, Malaysian Airlines pactThe government has approved an air service agreement between Indian Airlines and Malaysian Airlines, which would help link Bangalore and Hyderabad with the South-East Asian nation. A meeting of the Union Cabinet on Tuesday night okayed the agreement, which would give Indian Airlines two additional points -- Penang and Langwaki in Malaysia and Malaysian Airline would be able to fly directly to Bangalore and Hyderabad. Information and Broadcasting Minister Sushma Swaraj told reporters that a highlight of the agreement was that India would get two additional points in United States. Sushma said the agreement would facilitate US passengers coming to India via Kuala Lumpur, which could now directly land at Bangalore or Hyderabad instead of Chennai and Mumbai earlier.
