Srinivasan is AT Kearney chairman
BS Corporate Bureau in New Delhi Top-level changes have taken place at consultancy firm AT Kearney Ltd. While C Srinivasan, who was the managing director of AT Kearney in India, has been appointed the chairman of the company, Ravi Kushan has taken over as its managing director. Srinivasan, in addition, has been appointed as enterprise executive, EDS. In this capacity, he will be responsible for the other interests of the $22.5 billion EDS group in India. AT Kearney is a part of the EDS group. Both Srinivasan and Kushan are senior partners at AT Kearney and report to Art Bert, managing director (south Asia), AT Kearney-Australia. Bert is going to visit India next week for the India Economic Summit, which is being organised jointly by the World Economic Forum and the Confederation of Indian Industry in Delhi. Kushan's appointment has doubled the top-strength of AT Kearney in India. Kushan said that this has been done in order to grow AT Kearney's business here. "Our roles are complimentary," he added. While Srinivasan has built AT Kearney's business in India in the energy (oil and gas), automotive and consumer retail sectors, Kushan is expected to give direction to the business in the telecom, technology and financial services sectors. "We will subsequently look at pharmaceuticals also," Kushan said. Within telecom, Kushan said that the areas where he could help Indian companies include churn management (turnover of customers), next-generation cost reduction and mergers. In technology, he said that the focus would be at opportunities abroad including looking at new sectors in business process outsourcing, manufacturing design etc. In the software sector, Kushan said that there are a lot of opportunities for acquisitions abroad on account of the low valuations prevailing at the moment. In the financial services sector, he said that the focus would be on technology management, risk management and mergers and acquisitions. "AT Kearney works on a global basis. If the need arises, we can get resources from our global spread," he added. ALSO READ:
