Motherson Sumi Systems announces H1 results
Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 106.11 million for the half year ended September 30, 2002 as compared to a net profit of Rs 98.89 million for the half year ended September 30, 2001. Total Income has increased from Rs 1424.98 million in the half year ended September 30, 2001 to Rs 1577.05 million in the half year ended September 30, 2002.

Jindal Polyester to undertake expansion programme
Jindal Polyester Ltd has informed BSE that it is undertaking an expansion cum diversification programme involving increase in the capacity of Bopet Films by 24,000 TPA, increase in the capacity of Polyester chips by 41,150 TPA and setting up a new 5125 TPA metallizing unit at Nashik, Maharashtra. The Total outlay for these projects will be about Rs 2050 million, which will be funded through internal accruals and debt. After undertaking the above expansion the company's capacity for Bopet films will increase to 60,000 TPA and for Polyster Chips to 1,17,325 TPA.
Further the company has informed that it is also setting a new plant for the manufacture of Bi-axially Oriented Poly Propylene (BOPP) Films having capacity of 13,000 TPA at Nashik, Maharashtra. The total outlay for this project will be about Rs 1050 million, which will be funded through internal accruals and debt.

1. Approval for making an investment upto Australian $ 18.62 million or any other equivalent currency so as to acquire 51% Equity Stake in Technico Pty Ltd, Australia.
2. Approval for giving Guarantee(s) upto an amount of Australian $ 3 million on behalf of Technico Pty Ltd, Australia to its lender in respect of debts raised by Technico.
3. Approval for making loans of Rs 100 million each to Upper Ganges Sugar and Industries Ltd and Oudh Sugar Mills Ltd on the terms and conditions as may be decided by the Board of Directors from time to time and that this approval will be valid upto September 30, 2003.

Deeksha Holdings revises open offer to the equity share holders of Bharat Hotels
PN Vijay Financial Services Pvt Ltd has informed BSE that Deeksha Holdings Ltd ("Acquirer") has revised the open offer to acquire equity shares of Bharat Hotels Ltd ("the Company").
According to the revised offer the Acquirer has made an Open Offer through a Public Announcement to acquire 15,44,929 fully paid up equity shares ("shares") of Rs 10 each and 6,00,002 underlying equity shares against the GDRs of the Company at an offer price of Rs 28 per fully paid up equity share payable in cash.
The Escrow amount has been increased from earlier Rs 1,08,14,503 to Rs 1,50,14,517 following the Offer being extended to the GDR holders.
The activity schedule is also revised as under:
The Specified Date is September 30, 2002 (not revised)
The Date of Opening of the offer is November 25, 2002 (as against October 17, 2002)
The Date of Closing of the offer is December 24, 2002 (as against November 16, 2002)

GNFC announces change in directorship
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Ltd has informed BSE that consequent upon the withdrawal of Nomination by Government of Gujarat, Pradipsinh Jadeja ceased to be a Non-rotational Director as also the Chairman of the company with effect from November 21, 2002.
Further, G Subbarao has been nominated by Government of Gujarat as Non-rotational Director on the Board of the company with effect from November 22, 2002.
