No change in monetary policy stance: RBI
The deputy governor of the Reserve Bank, Rakesh Mohan, said on Thursday there was no change in the central bank's monetary policy stance as of now. "(There is) no change in monetary policy. It remains as we said in the credit policy," Mohan told reporters in New Delhi. Asked about the open market operations of the RBI he said: "There is nothing unusual about it, it is a part of continuous monetary management. It has been done in the past and it will be done in the future." "There is no question of wanting it to go up and down," Mohan said when asked whether the RBI wanted bond yields to fall. ALSO READ:
