Mysore Brew to make open offer for Rochees
Rochees Breweries Ltd has informed BSE that Mysore Breweries Ltd, a 97.54 % subsidiary of SABMiller India, on November 11, 2002 has signed an agreement with the promoters of the company to acquire their entire holding of 74.82 % in the equity capital of the company.
Mysore Breweries would be coming out with an open offer to the remaining shareholders to acquire the remaining 25.18 % of the shares at a price of Rs 11.75. The total consideration for the transaction is around Rs 20.02 crores.
SABMiller India is 60 % owned by SABMiller Plc. which is second largest brewer in the world. SABMiller Plc. has 111 breweries in 24 countries worldwide.

Parry Agro to seek nod to buy group firms' equity
Parry Agro Industries Ltd has informed BSE that the EGM is scheduled to be held on November 18, 2002 to purchase / make investments in equity shares of EID Parry India Ltd maximum up to Rs 40 million and Tube Investments of India Ltd maximum up to Rs 30 million.

Infosys signs MoU with Union Territory of Chandigarh to acquire land for expansion
Infosys Technologies Ltd on November 15, 2002 has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Union Territory of Chandigarh Administration (UTCA) to buy 20 acres of land at the Chandigarh Information Services Park (CISP).
The land will be used by Infosys to set up a Software Development Center in Chandigarh. Infosys currently has a 200-people strong development centre in Mohali.
The proposed Infosys campus is expected to house 2400 Infoscions over the next 5 years, with suitable recreational facilities.
Mohandas Pai, Member of the Board and Chief Financial Officer said, "Infosys set up its first center in Mohali in March 2001, Infosys has followed a strategy of setting up world class software development centers in places where there is rich local talent as well as the required infrastructure.
Chandigarh has provided us with both of these and we are looking forward to expanding our operations in this beautiful union territory."
The MoU was signed by The IT Secretary Karan Singh in the presence of Lt Gen J F R Jacob PVSM (Retd), Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Chandigarh; H R Binod, Associate Vice President - Commercial & Facilities' and top Infosys officials.
