Govt to divest 32 PSUs this year: Shourie

The government is taking steps for divestment of 32 public sector undertakings, including Air-India and Indian Airlines, this year, Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday.

The annual target for 2002-03 is Rs 120 billion and other enterprises to be taken up for divestment include Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, Maruti Udyog, Madras Fertilisers and National Alluminium, Divestment Minister Arun Shourie said in a written reply.
